The contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, LinkedIn. By taking part, participants release LinkedIn from any liability related to the contest. Participants must also follow LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies.

2. Who can take part

  1. The contest is open to people aged 18 or over who attended Code BEAM Europe 2026 in Haarlem (21 to 22 October 2026) as an attendee, speaker or exhibitor.
  2. Employees of the Organiser, members of the jury and their immediate families cannot take part.
  3. Taking part is free. No purchase is necessary and buying a ticket does not increase the chances of winning.

3. How to enter

  1. Publish a public post on your personal LinkedIn profile during the contest period.
  2. The post must be about Code BEAM Europe 2026 and include at least one photo taken by you at the event.
  3. The post must tag the Code Sync LinkedIn page (linkedin.com/company/code-sync).
  4. Each person can win only once. You may publish more than one post, but the jury will treat them as one entry and judge your best post.
  5. The post must stay public until the winner is announced.

4. Content rules

  1. The post and photos must be your own work. You must hold the rights to the content and have the consent of any people who can be clearly identified in your photos.
  2. Posts must follow the Code Sync Code of Conduct. Posts that are offensive, discriminatory, misleading, infringe the rights of others or are mainly promotional for a commercial product will be excluded.
  3. Entries created or modified with the main purpose of manipulating the contest, for example by buying engagement, will be excluded.

5. How the winner is chosen

  1. The winner is chosen by a jury made up of members of the Code Sync team. This is a contest of skill, not a lottery or a draw.
  2. The jury will assess all valid entries using these criteria, with equal weight:
    • creativity and originality of the post and photo,
    • how well the post captures the atmosphere and content of Code BEAM Europe 2026,
    • value for the community, for example what you learned and who you met.
  3. The number of likes, comments or shares is not a judging criterion.
  4. The jury's decision is final. The jury may decide not to award the prize if no entry meets these terms.

6. Prize

  1. There is one prize: one free conference ticket to ElixirConf EU 2027.
  2. The prize covers the conference ticket only. Travel, accommodation, training days and any other costs are not included.
  3. The prize is personal and cannot be exchanged for cash or for another prize. If ElixirConf EU 2027 does not take place, the Organiser will offer an equivalent ticket to another Code Sync conference.

7. Announcing the winner

  1. The winner will be announced by 4 November 2026 in a comment under the winning post or on the Code Sync LinkedIn page, and contacted through a LinkedIn message.
  2. The winner must reply within 7 days and give the name and email address needed to issue the ticket. If the winner does not reply in time, the jury may choose another winner from the remaining entries.

8. Use of your post

By entering, you allow the Organiser to share, repost or quote your post and photo, with credit to you, on the Code Sync and Code BEAM Europe websites, newsletters and social media channels. This permission is free of charge, non-exclusive and lasts for 2 years. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to info@codesync.global, which does not affect content already published.

9. Personal data

  1. Erlang Solutions Ltd is the controller of personal data processed for the contest.
  2. We process your name, LinkedIn profile and post, and for the winner the email address needed to issue the ticket. We use this data only to run the contest, contact and announce the winner and issue the prize. The legal basis is your participation in the contest (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in promoting our conferences (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  3. We keep contest data for up to 6 months after the winner is announced, and the winner's data for as long as needed to issue the ticket and meet legal obligations.
  4. You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To use these rights, write to info@codesync.global.

10. Final provisions

  1. The Organiser may exclude entries that break these terms.
  2. The Organiser may change or end the contest early only for reasons outside its control. Any change will be published on this page and will not affect entries already submitted in a way that disadvantages participants.
